Educational History:

In 2002, I graduated from Navasota High School in Navasota, Texas.

In 2017, I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Degrees and Certifications:

B.A in Interdisciplinary Studies, Middle Level Grades 4-8, with a English and Reading focus

Certified: Praxis 6-12 ELA

Certified: TeXes 4-8 English and Reading

Certified: TeXes 4-8 Generalist (All subjects)

Professional Experience

Current Position:

This is my first year at Woodlawn Middle School doing Special Education Self Contained. 

Previous Position:

I previously worked at union Parish Junior High where I taught 6th - 8th resource and inclusion  for one year and 6th grade English for two years.

I started my teaching career at Morehouse Magnet School. I taught 4-5 English and Social Studies for  one year and then 3-5 English the next year.

Personal Information:

When I am not teaching, I am reading. There is not a book that I do not love. Collecting antique books is one of my passions. When I am not reading, I am working outside. Fresh air sooths the soul!
